Custom-made aluminum/sulfur battery consisting of the following hand-made and outsourced mechanical parts:


-Aluminum pipe cut and finished using a chop saw and desktop lathe.


-PTFE top and bottom “end caps” cut, shaped, and finished using chop saw and desktop lathe.


-Laser cut molybdenum disks press fit onto a molybdenum rod.


-Aluminum “end blocks” custom designed via Solidworks and manufactured via outside manufacturer. Paired with M5 tie rods and nuts to secure PTFE “end caps” in place.


-Spot-welded aluminum tab for anode electrical connection point.

-Custom-designed stainless steel outer casing manufactured via outside manufacturer.

-Stainless steel clamp purchased online via McMaster.


-Plastic compression fitting for ¼” rod purchased online via McMaster.


-Custom made anode consisting of ¼” Aluminum rod and 1/8” aluminum 90 mm disk.


-Custom made molybdenum base consisting of laser cut molybdenum disk and fins that were spot-welded together to create cathode base.
